Vidyawati Srivastava, of John Todd Way, Redding, cherished wife of the late Gopal Prasad Srivastava, passed away at the Danbury Hospital on Friday, August 29th.

Mrs. Srivastava was born in India and has made her home in the United States since 1978. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the catalyst that kept a large extended family together, guiding them with her nurturing love and care. She will be sadly missed.

Mrs. Srivastava is survived by her devoted sons, P.K. Srivastava and his wife, Rupa, with whom she made her home, and Pradeep Srivastava and his wife Vijaya of Detroit, Michigan; her cherished daughters, Kusum Srivastava and husband, Kripa Shanker of India, Shail Maewall and husband, Narain of North Carolina, Madhu Khare and husband, Anil of Virginia, Sushma Srivastava and husband, Dinesh of Illinois, Reva Shrivastava and husband, Anil of Michigan, and Rekha Shrivastava and husband, Ram of New York. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Vineet Srivastava and loving daughter-in-law, Anita Srivastava.

Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, August 31st at 9:30am. The family will receive friends at 9:00am. Cremation will take place following services at Charter Oak Crematory, Oxford, CT.
